THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOLL ROAD BUSINESS IS GETTING FASTER, Jakarta

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that toll road business entities in Indonesia were able to achieve operating revenues of IDR 17.47 trillion until June 2021. This value was obtained from 79 toll road sections that are already operating in Indonesia. 

Meanwhile, the largest revenue was recorded by business entities that manage inter-city toll roads. Cikopo Palimanan is the toll road segment that has the largest revenue until June 2021, namely IDR 835.82 billion.

Development in Indonesia is based on spatial planning. To form a spatial pattern that has been determined, a forming structure is needed, one of which is a road plan. The Ministry of Public Works is required to develop a national road network system in which there is a toll road network system. There are limited government funds, so that roads designated as toll roads are handed over to investors as investors. For this reason, the government must be able to guarantee and create an atmosphere in such a way that they can return their money, such as setting tariffs and land. This was stated by the Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto as the Keynote Speaker.
