Sinotruk Officially Invests in MNC Leasing, Jakarta

MNC Leasing, a productive and innovative financing company, a subsidiary of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with the largest large equipment and truck manufacturing company in China, namely Sinotruk. When met after the signing, the President Director of MNC Kapital Indonesia, Yudi Hamka, explained that through this collaboration, MNC Leasing, which is MNC Kapital's business line, can expand financing services for Sinotruk's customer base in Indonesia.

The signing of the collaboration was led directly by MNC Group Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo together with Shandong Heavy Industry Group Chairman, Tan Xuguang at Park Hyatt Jakarta, Monday (22/1/2024).

On this occasion, MNC Group Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo said that the entire MNC Group business ecosystem was ready to be mobilized to achieve the success of this collaboration. Such as media platforms for advertising, to financial business lines as access to financing for sales of Sinotruk products. "We are committed to making our joint business venture a success, so thank you very much for your trust even as your partner," said Harry Tanoe in Various.

"Of course, this is a very good form of synergy to expand the Sinotruk network but also increase business financing from MNC Leasing," said Yudi, Monday (22/1/2024). Yudi added, this agreement will also expand Sinotruk's market share in Indonesia, one of which is to participate in marketing its products.

"The hope is that this will become an effective synergy, for example MNC Bank will channel MNC Leasing financing to the Sinotruk customer base," said Yudi. For information, with the signing of this JV, Sinotruk will officially own 40 percent of the shares in MNC Leasing, a heavy equipment and truck financing company under the MNC Group.

As for ownership in MNC Leasing, Sinotruk spent IDR 274 billion, equivalent to a valuation of 2x Book Value, which was divided into 20 percent of the old shares owned by BCAP and issuing new shares of 20 percent. The funds obtained from the publication of these new shares will be used to develop the MNC Leasing office network, especially around mining areas, to be closer to heavy equipment business players.
